A fellowship of heathens.
As a fellowship of various hearths and kindreds in the area of Charleston, South Carolina, The Heathen Hall of the Lowcountry consists of a number of viewpoints and opinions based on the germanic worldview. While each hearth or kindred is free to practice their faith as they see fit, all forms of heathenry, including but not limited to Asatru, Forn Sed, Anglo-Saxon, folkish and universalist, are welcome at the Hall.
When the godhi of the largest kindred in Charleston was found to be an oath-breaker, several members of that kindred walked away from it. They got together with people from other groups and formed the Heathen Hall of the Lowcountry as a way to rebuild the heathen community in the South Carolina Lowcountry, and offer a safe place to air grievances and disagreements between the various heathen groups in the area. It was agreed by those forming the Hall that the differences in viewpoints prevented the group from being a single, united, kindred. So, as our ancestors did in times past, each family, tribe or kindred would practice its own version of the germanic worldview, coming together with the rest of the families and tribes for gatherings at various times throughout the year.
